African artist and maybe more Senegalese have a true gift in reinventing objects. Repurposing objects and materials in order to give them a new life. A unique energy transpires from their work.
Moktar, a prolific artist from La Somone will welcome you and your kids in his workshop. You will be able to create your own mask or art piece under his guidance using recycled materials. A fun and great way to learn about recycling.
Price : 10 euros per person to make your own mask.
Khadi Tamba, an amazing chef, will take you to the village farmers market to introduce you to all the wonder of Senegalese products.
You will be able to taste and buy all necessary ingredients to cook your lunch.
Back at the house, Khadi will guide and show you how to cook a wonderful meal. Fish, meat, vegetarian, anything you like.
Price : Depends on how many people the lunch is for. Khadi will pay for all the groceries at the market and help you cook the best senegalese meal ever.
With Ahmed, enjoy one of the most peaceful surf spot in Senegal.
Any level welcome. He will teach you or your kids to stand up on the board and enjoy riding the waves.

Ahmed can also take you on a pirogue to explore the laguna mangroves.
This classified site, nature reserve, is home all year long for an incredible biodiversity. Herons, pelicans, flamingos, egrets come to nest between the mangrove forest and the sandbanks. This reserve spreads on more than 7,000ha.
The reputation of Senegalese waters is well established, the sea is full of fish. Ahmed is famous for having the Baraka and often brings back the biggest fish (..) . He will be more than happy to prepare it for you or take you to the Lagoon for a lobster tasting and flambeed bananas around the campfire listening to the sound of djembes.

Anaïs, born in Somone, fell in love with the house located in her childhood village. She lives in Paris now with her 2 kids but never stops traveling back and forth. She wants to share her experience of Africa and in some way give back to this continent who made her who she is.
Sérigne, « the boss » is Anais childhood friend. He will welcome you at your arrival and can organize or give you advice on pretty much anything you will ask him. He will be your guide if you want to explore the surroundings on ATV. or go discover the fishing town of M'bour.
The man of the house. He is available from 8 pm to 8 am. He takes care of the garden, the swimming pool and sleeps in the little cottage next to the entrance.
Mamy comes 4 times a week from 10 am to 2 pm to make sure everything is perfect for your stay. She is an excellent cook as well so dont hesitate to order food from her. You won't be disappointed.
