Up_Close is born in Senegal from the idea to showcase Africa's craftsmanship and modernism. And to also help the fashion waste problem we are all aware of.
We give a new life to clothes we carefully select.
We only work with local communities and they actively participate in our creative process.
It's a fashion point of view
It's about helping our planet and our people.
It's about mixing different cultures and being more inclusive.

I was born in Dakar and grew up in Somone. I had the chance to be raised surrounded by Senegalese culture.
I have always been into Art, photography and sensible to current trends. I am committed to promoting African Art and sharing with you objects, jewelry, fabrics and accessories that I find on each of my travels. As I go back and forth, between Paris and Africa, my concept store constantly evolves and reflects my convictions.
Through the work of young creators, I would like to make you discover a contemporary Africa, far from the folklore to which she is too often attached.
To me, the question of meaning and respect for craftsmanship fights against the idea of a standardized and uniform, often ostentatious and emotionless universe.
Now enjoy my favorite discoveries. All have something special to me that I want to share with you. Each piece you acquire has a significant social impact on the communities who made them.
I hope you will cherish them as much as I do and will carry the gift of transmission from one generation to another.
